Team Manager: Eric Boocock & Colin Pratt Team Manager: Kjeld Lund Team Manager: Bo Wirebrand Team Manager: John Scott
The meeting began with what was probably the worst ever crash in the WTC, when all four riders crashed on the first bend of the first race. It was no more that a racing accident, not caused by the track or the fence. But all 4 - Cross, Gundersen, Nilsen, and King - went to hospital and were unable to take any further part in the meeting. For one, Erik Gundersen, his racing career was over.
Note In the programme for this meeting, England is incorrectly referred to throughout as Great Britain
